Horacio Gutierrez, vice president of intellectual property and deputy general counsel at Microsoft, said "This agreement with LG means that more than 70 percent of all Android
smartphones sold in the U.S. are now receiving coverage under Microsoft's patent
portfolio."
Microsoft did not reveal the patent license terms, but Citibank's Walter Pritchard previously reported Microsoft's patent license with
HTC is $5 per Android device.
